If you are a proselytiser then your task is simple enough:
(1) Describe your god (otherwise we won't know what we're talking about)
(2) Prove god exists
No subject changes will be entertained (not even slight sidetracks)
I am here to be converted. Give it your best shot.

1) My god lights up the earth, gives life to all beings on our planet, however does not claim to be all knowing and could not care less about how we live our lives. Its unseen force created the earth and keeps it going.
2) Its size and distance is measurable. You can feel its presence every day. I’ve even attached its image as proof.

Sorry, just a tongue-in-cheek attempt to see if the re-emergence of ideologies with science as the backbone will have any takers.
From my observation, most religions use science facts and observations of their time of emergence mixed with superstition and theological beliefs to gather followers.
The problem with that is, those science facts and observations could either be proven wrong or obsolete in the modern world; hence what is left is the superstition and theological beliefs to be bombarded by other religions and atheists.
So new belief systems, cults and religions emerge with the same modus operandi as old religions trying to get followers.
So my guess is, as long as people need something to replace the comfort of their favourite blanket, there will always be religion in its many forms.
