The so-called "GRB 090423" explosion, which occurred when the universe was only 640 million years old - some five per cent of its current age - was seen by the NASA Swift satellite on April 23.
Subsequent analysis by teams of scientists, utilising the European Southern Observatory's Very Large Telescope in Chile, showed the satellite effectively looked back in time 13 billion years.

I know. Stuff like that makes me excited about the future. When we find younger stuff. Just makes you wonder whats out there. I could spend all night thinking about it and just lay in awe.

what gets me, is creationists missing out on all this. trying to fit it into their wordview, and then turning around and saying we have no reason to live etc etc, no meaning.

13 billion bloody years! full ON! :) we live in wonderful times :)
