After the visit by Bik who felt that the OT was no longer relevant and the NT was the way that xtians were a better guide of how they were supposed to behave, I thought that I would start up a rule book based on stuff in the NT.
Here are my starters for ten.
Luke 14:26 (http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com/lk/14.html#26)
If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
Luke 12:33 (http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com/lk/12.html#33)
Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
1 Timothy 2:9 (http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com/1tim/2.html#9)
In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array
1 Timothy 2:11 (http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com/1tim/2.html#11)
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
1 Timothy 2:12 (http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com/1tim/2.html#12)
But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
James
