@ 2:45 . . . The Rev Allan Beaven let's it out . . .
I think our concerns are is it's being presented as a thinking type program . . . encouraging kids to see it more as a thinking program rather than looking at the differences between right and wrong, good and bad . . .
Yep Allan, that's dead right! Ignoring the fact that you and your ilk from other denominations would prefer to keep teaching kids what to think, this program is aimed at teaching them how to think.
. . . and he's "upset" that he's lost over half of his 'special' religious education students to the ethics program. I wonder why?
. . . and you've got to love the Bishop's crap about chinese parents not understanding the intent of the principal's letter . . . uttering a typical whining - but mendacious comment along the lines of: "the chinese don't have an equivalent word to 'ethics' in their language - so they were confused and simply followed what they thought were instructions from the principal". Misleading deceptive arseholes - caught out on national television.
Yet - they will all still have their say at the review of the program . . . the government has promised them a seat . . .

Here here, the NSW gov is actually doing something positive. Next election they'll probably be out anyway and the next mob can do stuff all.

Why are religions EXPECTING to be asked to consult on something that doesn't occur in SRE classes ?
Pure, unadulterated friggin' arrogance.
How precious was the "We think OUR ethics comes from a higher source" comment ! (FFS... next, theyll be running around like school children and teasing "Our ethics are better than your ethics !" )
And I love how Peter Jensen refused to face the St James Ethics Centre directly. "No thanks, I'll lobby the NSW State Govt instead, where I have more influence and a better chance to 'win' any arguments, mostly because my silly hat impresses more mindless gimps."
Please PLEASE.. David & the AFA staff... surely now is DEFINITELY the time for another press release !!!!! Strike whilst the iron is hot. The more media exposure this gets, the better..

Great stuff! Far may it spread, covering the entire country.
It bemuses me that say Buddhists and Muslims do not demand equal time in schools where they have the numbers.
The clergyman getting upset because the course teaches kids to THINK! (instead of his version of absolute morality) :D
I've noticed in my lifetime that the custom of sending the family idiot into the church or the army is alive and well.

It's amazing, they just can't stop lying, "it's in the constitution!!"...um not its not, ohh well. I just hope the state government doesn't cock this one up or give into the religious nutters...
