If there are any parents here who go to their children's school P&C meeting's..please bring up the issue of the ethics classes..once it is noted in the meeting minutes it's there for good. We are going to do this at our next P&C meeting.

The more people make an issues of it the more it will get noticed.

Good luck.

Hi vegie,
Our school has a Governing Council Committee and based on a majority vote they elected to employ a CPSW or chaplain. I'm sure the pricipal would have coerced a favorable decision as he is a religious nutter. The only way to evict these church bred loonies from our public schools is to make a hullabaloo. Let the school know it is unacceptable and discriminatory to promote Xianity or any religion for that matter. Sure, the schools need councilors and support workers but they must be neutral, secular and professionally trained.

We have the same problem at our school...the principle is Anglican...that tell's you how bad it is for us.

In my previous post I've gone on about this problem for the last year. We try to keep their religious craziness to a minimum
...only for them to bring it back up to bolling point.

It's a full time job.

We went to our school's P&C meeting and we now have the approval of the school for the support of the ethics classes...this is a great accomplishment for us...as you all know our school is very Anglican. We will now send a letter of support to the St James Ethics Center and the P&C. I'm sure there are people who were at the P&C meeting that would NOT have be to happy about this...but when you have the school council and the P&C support...there's nothing they can do.:D

A small win for the Freethinkers...now comes the hard part..getting the Department of Education to approve it.:(
