Hello. Could someone tell me how to embed video? On this particular post, I see a "You Tube" option in the box but in other posts I don't see the option.

Hi DC - it took me a while to get the hang of it as well, but once you do, it's really easy!
To poste a Youtube clip here, just insert the numbers at the end of the URL in between the stuff!
So, if the URL for the clip is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LTKzg1K7Es
copy just the bit after the = sign (as bolded above) and paste them in between the square bracketed YouTube command. Voila! Embedded clip :)
Cheers.

Thanks very much, do you actually type " " or are you supposed to see ""? If you are supposed to see where the heck is it?

No. When you see quote marks if someone is trying to teach you how to do something, when you actually come to do it, you do not use them. This is a reptty standard practice.
I thought my post was really clear on how to do it?
Here it is again though, using your style:
open square bracket YOUTUBE close square bracket paste the numbers at the end of the URL of the clip open square bracket forward slash YOU TUBE close square brackets
If you click the YouTube icon when making your post, the square bracket YouTube stuff comes up so you put your URL number in the middle of ]and[
So if the clip is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LTKzg1K7Es you past just those numbers after the equals sign in between the You Tube stuff in square brackets.

Thanks, Praxis, the quotes I was using were my own to try to show what I was typing - but - what I typed in them - disappeared... I do not know why

Not a bad start. :)
I can post that one but not the one I'm trying to - I get a big blank place. Then when I go back to youtube - I did not get anything with an = sign... (well I did one time, then didn't the other time - now I'm confused)...I give up for now, may try later, thanks.

The one you tried on post 10 (which I've fixed) had extra text. You had added http in there somehow.
Your code was this httpaYDfACr-y4s
it should be aYDfACr-y4s you added http by mistake..
Nearly there.. How do you record TV shows? :)
Thanks Protium! I don't record TV shows! And I got a new alarm clock that I can't set! Please come & help me!
