But while the Vatican did not exclude any area of science, it did reject as "absurd" the atheist notion of biologist and author Richard Dawkins and others that evolution proves there is no God, he said.
"Of course we think that's absurd and not at all proven," he said. "But other than that ... the Vatican has recognized that it doesn't stand in the way of scientific realities."
The Vatican? Not stand in the way of scientific reality? HA!!!! How about when the scientific reality is that an abortion is the only way to save a 9 year old child's life. Nup, the hell with science. The needs of the blobs out weigh the needs of the woman-child. She's already been baptized. Those two haven't. WE NEED MORE SOULS!!!!!!

I see the vatican as a government body, with no real political power (depending on which country they go in) but with political agendas as their motive. It's no different now than when they first started in order to control people, it's all about power.
