Hey all,

Just wanted to come and say g'day to you all and give a little introduction. This seems like a nice little forum so far. :)

I can't put my finger on exactly when I realised I was an atheist, but I went to church as a youngster thanks to a religious parent (although I can't say I've ever felt uncomfortable in my belief, or felt that I had to hide it at all). Until about a month before the GAC I had the philosophy that I don't care what other people believe, so why should anyone care what I believe, but recently I've felt more and more like an outsider in my own country so I've decided to become a bit more vocal about my beliefs. Specifically, I joined the AFA, Electronic Frontiers Australia and the Pirate Party at around the same time.

Apart from that I've done a bit of work in the music industry and spend most of my time listening to music, watching movies or reading. I also spend far too much fucking time on the internet.

Anyway, look forward to meeting all y'all.

Cheers,
Bradley

Hello and welcome again... we might have got off to a confused start (Hey Dad thread) but I hope you enjoy your time here.

Great avatar by the way... one of my favourite movies...

...any relation to 'the' Michael Bolton :p

Welcome Bradley..

I found some Good Morrow :)

Haha, can't say I have much time for the Chasers' TV shows, although I follow Chas's Twitter and did recently discover the parody of the Barack Obama "Yes, We Can" music video. Good stuff.

Unfortunately the real version of my avatar didn't upload properly:

One of the best movies ever! And hey, I'm not so immature as to be unable to put a misunderstanding in perspective. :)

Thanks for the welcome all.

Thanks for not placing any more automatically-animated stuff on the forums.
On the scale of migraine-inducement I think it rates pretty low. :p

@ fearless, hehehehehe

Bradley, Mr B has some problems with animated gifs and the such. Others here don't really like them either. So we deign to let Mr B have his way, just to keep him happy and not smite us. (I don't like them either)

Gidday Bradley, this is probably not going to cure an internet addiction.

If you knew how many fingers I had up, I might suspect you also knew about other things, like what causes migraines in my case.

Clue: Moving things or bright lights at the periphery of my vision while I am looking at text in another area of the screen can and do cause me to develop migraine.
Well that's quite a shame. Have you had that looked at? Insignificantly-sized moving objects causing migraines might be cause for a little concern. How do you handle reading a newspaper with a fly traveling around the room? As a migraine sufferer myself I certainly empathise, but I would have though the internet (and especially an open internet forum) would be the worst possible place to visit if you're susceptible to such easily-triggered migraines. Stay away from online casino websites, whatever you do!

Obviously, I could not possibly have known that a slowly animated graphic of a facial expression would cause you such offense. Though I fail to see where I ever spoke for anyone but myself on all things GIF, I will apologise nonetheless for having the gall to rate Michael Bolton a "low" on the migraine-inducement scale and thank you again for the warm welcome.

(Don't bite the newcomers, indeed.)

Bring back the blink tag i say, i so miss it, i am trying hard to work out how to do it on the forum. If i can sneak it past Protium then we can play schrodingers cat! (Spelling is atrocious as i am on my phone without spellcheck ;)
