*sigh* I wonder why I bother even caring about this baseless rant, but here is the link: http://blogs.news.com.au/heraldsun/andrewbolt/index.php/heraldsun/comments/barbarian_savages_christians/
Typically of theists, they get all high and mighty when we criticise their beliefs, but feel it is quite okay to savage ours and justify their anger (of course, our anger is never justified). Read some of the comments, then have a Bex and a good lie down because you will need it.
I'd put in my own response to this wibble, but I know that I would be howled down by the troglodytes that lurk there. So, I shall just weep for the future instead... :(

Ah well, always a next time, eh?
The sad thing about this post of Bolt's is that most atheists, tired of arguing against wibble, won't repond. Because debating wibble becomes tiresome after a while. However, the believers will get their knickers in a knot and spew unchallenged wibble.
My only question for Bolt is this: why are you, and other theists of your ilk, frightened of us? I mean, you must be frightened because you act like a cornered cat everytime we use reason and logic.

What annoys me the most about all of these articles opposing atheists is that they label our thinking of religion as a belief system, just like theirs. Why is it so hard for these people to understand that not everyone BELIEVES IN SOMETHING!

I just got a strange image in my head of you having underwear on your head and pencils up your nose when you typed that:rolleyes:

Anytime Andrew Bolt gets upset over something I'm enthusiastic about I feel that I'm onto a winner.

Believe me, after reading five pages of wibble, I'm getting to that stage.
You'll find me in London, a small village on Mars, just outside the capital city, Wibble.

Who is Andrew Bolt and why should I care what he thinks? (really; I've never heard of him)

Andrew Bolt and his ilk are the best advertisement Atheism has. Stirring up the right by shining their knobs and pointing out people for them to hate is what he does for a living. I wonder how much of it is his own belief and how much is 'working the crowd', so to speak.

ahhh Bolt........ can not stand the man at all. everytime he opens his mouth, i either turn the tv off or make a point of not reading his "newspaper" artcles, mainly because I have never agreed with him and he polarizes issues into black and white.
He's an alarmist bullshit hack of a "reporter".

And yet Bolt is doing exactly what he claims that atheists do - picking a fight with the opposition by taking the moral high ground.
Again, why are theists so afraid of us?

Isn't it part of religious texts not to put down those who oppose your beliefs, but to love and find acceptance etc
Yet the GAC has brought out an army of religious bowmen firing into the air a frenzy of arrows as if we are amassing on the hill ready to charge and start burning houses, pillaging and stealing babies.
The religious propaganda is thick with foul air. They need to get a grip for goodness sakes!
Oh but Bolt isn't religious right? *chortle*
I am glad he summarized some great material... I didn't manage to write it all down but he has saved me time and I can read this great work again.

This will be in the Herald Sun tomorrow. Expect much poison from the tolerant and loving Christians to follow...
Frankly, I'm getting jack of it. Three days in a row? Even the Muslims don't get this much flak from Bolt. Obviously it's a slow issues week at the Herald Sun. Or Bolt has simply found another bandwagon to jump on without realising that it's the dunny cart...

The mans a fruit cake. Why is it that theists all think we worship Dawkins? When was the last time somebody quoted the God Delusion "page 213, lines 7 - 24", to preach to the masses? While at the convention, when people were talking to Dawkins, it was a conversation, no genuflecting, no touching of robes for purification. He is just a person who's opinions are respected both for their razor sharp wit, but also for the value of what he has to say.
Besides, calling the Pope a nazi is taking it out of context (an argument im sure theists will love having thrown back at them), it was said as a joke to dismiss the Pope's importance, told to a predominant group of atheists...context people CONTEXT!!! Another point is that i assume that the popes message that homosexuality is a sin, stem cell research is murder, contraception is evil, all this discriminatory talk is ok?? Where is my vicodin?

I've never felt more like believing in God. Especially the Christian one.
Yes, I know godlessness need not mean good-lessness. I'm agnostic myself, yet think myself morally serious.
What a croc of shit. He would lean towards god because the nasty Atheists made some jokes? Is that what you base your faith on Mr Bolt? Whether you agree with someones point of view, or a joke you find funny or not?
Dishonesty is ugly.

Hehehe. Andrew Bolt is an LCD hack employed to whip morons into a frenzy. Doesn't believe one quarter of what he writes himself. There's nothing to see here people, just another used car saleman ripping off the unsuspecting of their right to an original thought.

Wow... Andrew Bolt. A conservative hitman who writes for a newspaper version of a current affairs program.
I'm shocked he's stopped being scared of boat people for five minutes to write this.

Fourth day running. Really, this is getting lame...

I've left a comment saying as much. Really, would Bolt be so brave as to give a serve to Muslims, Jews or Christians four days in a row? I think not.

He feels safe because just like the boat people he usually picks on, who he knows can't hurt him b/c they are locked up at hell on earth island, he's worked out that the worst thing an atheist will do is make jokes at his expense. So like any good bully, when he thinks he sniffs what he considers a weakness, he's off like a brides nighty.
Bullies always get theirs in the end. So will Andrew.
