I was too gutless to just bowl up to Prof Dawkins and ask for a pic and to say hi. He was just standing around quietly, in the lunch area, no security or anything. He was talking to a woman from Kenya. I didn't want to interrupt. He was talking to the guy in the t-shirt as well. I'm not sure but is that Heresy, pre-Jesus shroud?!

We spotted Richard Dawkins outside during first interval ... He was rushing past the Polly Woodside when my son spotted him ... I ran over to him and said ... “Hello” ... He turned to me and asked ... “Excuse me, do you know where the Hilton Hotel is? ... Then like a blithering idiot ... I answered ... “No ... How about a photo?”... Then he said “”Yes, Yes but I’m in a rush”
So we stood for this photo ... Just me and RD and then this other guy jumped into the shot and if you look at us, it looks like RD and other guy are best buddies and that I’ve just snuck up from behind ... Gaaawd
Anyway, I had a brilliant time and I was sad that it ended ... I'd do it all over again ... :)
And now I am having trouble inserting the image .... :mad:

A very big thanks to Ginckgo for showing us into a part of his world that many people never get to see. We were rather like kids in a candy store, including my kids who were along for the ride as a special treat for my sons birthday. His conclusion - "That was the best birthday present ever!"

There are Silurian trilobites in a dry creek near our airport. Because of the drought, the rock tends to crumble and they can be seen without any human damage done to the rock.

I also love the (geology) museum in Adelaide's North St.

I can't get it to download for some reason, but the flash created orbs of light floating among the audience.

Claims of this being the first public experiment for the transfer of hair growth genes through simple proximity are unfounded and absolutely scandalous... and they should be spread by as many people as possible. You know it's true.. PZ obviously has an over-abundance of the things. It has not yet been determined whether gravity plays a part, or if it's some sort of migratory route. The left test subject shows evidence of the migratory theory, whilst that on the right shows they're simply running down his cheek bones and collecting at his chin !

No, no.. this is purely a love fest... everyone can see that ! :D

Eh, look at it this way - the really important photos to me were:

1) That one with my friend, who was my +1 at the dinner when my partner dropped out (and left me kind of devastated, so she was a big help) - and it's with the Chasers! How cool is that!

2) The one with the backstage/admin team with a few of the speakers all posed in a backyard - and I didn't even take that photo, there were about half a dozen photographers who took that shot and I've already seen it.

I have so many memories and the experience, so if I just have those two photos - I don't mind that much. :)

Myself and John Perkins as 'bouncers' for the initial registrations, other committee members are not in the shot, but it took all our efforts to keep the ball rolling :)

SO many women! I did a brisk count at the start and found out of about 120 people in the line when it first started, about 60 to 70 were women. :)

Looking forward to hearing about the broken chains. And another get-together is a MUST. I'd happily travel to Sydney (good chance to catch up with some friends there too).
