Hello to people inhabiting the real world,
Even with my angilcan upbringing, my religious beliefs were never that strong because somehow it just seemed wrong, especially when I was told to leave rationality behind and take a leap of faith if I wanted to 'find god'. I now know that at age 14, I was more a deist than a theist but as I got older the supernatural world just got plain silly and up until 15 years ago I counted myself as an agnostic. In the end though I had to investigate and evaluate my (for want of a better word) belief system and came to the conclusion that there was no valid rationale for gods except in the rantings of fundamentalists who, for all I could see were only interested in the end of the world and the promulgation of hate.
Anyhow, great to find a group of rational people and look forward to interesting times.
