An article about the 2010 Global Atheist Convention (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Global_Atheist_Convention) has been created on Wikipedia. Please help by adding more information or reliable sources (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Verifiability#Reliable_sources) as references. :)

I don't know enough about Wiki editing, dammit!
First I want to change "Octuber" to October and secondly, I want to put in the entire list of presenters.
I'm sure others can fill the entry up with other facts and statistics as well.
Welcome to the forum Marawe.
EDIT TO ADD: okay, I'm learning on the fly and expanding the article a bit now :) (hope I'm doing it right!)

I'm writing one up now with little side boxes and quotes and pictures and all prettiness now but I have to teach myself wiki-editing.

Good work GB :)
You can see my additions already as I expanded the speaker list to include not only Professor Dawkins!

The Logo is a No-go. :(
All I see is the link but not the picture.
Well done for getting this going everyone.

No go as in not allowed to use it or not showing? I'm still experimenting with infobox styles so there are a few bugs as I go.
I don't really learn by reading than doing - (Probably why I fail uni) - I'm more of a tinker and learn by stuffing/experimenting around.
So I add a little, submit, etc. It might look different every refresh!

Image working now GB - good stuff!
I've added in some wording about attendance, citing 2500 as the attendance figure and have also added the full speaker line-up. My Wiki name is Ninglebert (don't ask :o )
Lee, if there's anything the AFA would like to add to the page, let us know and it can get put in.
GB and I are on a Wiki learning curve :D

Whatever you think you can use from the GAC site go for it.

What's the source for the Richard Dawkins (and other presenters) biographies on the GAC website?

I'm going to get dinner - anyone want to add more of the presenters? I was thinking also adding a 'History' section.
Also something about funding under a 'Controversy' heading or something.

I need to speak to the web designer of atheistconvention.org.au regarding image permissions (wikipedia has contacted me) - can someone PM me who I need to speak to please? ;)
We're not in trouble. Just need some information/action regarding a few pictures I uploaded.

I just added Chinese version at wiki and linked to this article. Now you can see the option of language at the left side of the page of this article.
Over all it is not very difficult, especially when you can copy and paste the codes from the English version to show the picture!
The tricky thing is the articles in different languages seems to be store at different databases at wiki. So you need to work at different database when you create a page in different language.
I haven't translated all the content of English version at this moment. I believe a lot of interesting things will happen during the convention and I will add it to the article.

All our pictures got deleted because of licencing issues with wikimedia. So perhaps someone with a better idea on the licences we have over Guest photos (from the GAC website) could re-upload them.
I emailed the webmaster a few weeks ago to contact wikipedia to provide details on them but alas, mustn't of happened.

Thank goodness someone who is properly informed is editing the Wiki page. Cheers to Praxis.
