I read this one in today's SMH. Got me really mad.
They're OK with preaching their hate, but they don't want to accept the consequences.
Disgusting.

Interesting I had heard of the proposed laws for Uganda but didn't realise there was xtian fundamentalism for the US behind the scenes.
You have to at sometime ask why they are allowed to act so dangerously without any recompense to their actions

Funny, the roman catholic church seems rather quiet on the issue, they really should step in and correct them on what the bible says and the correct moral...oh thats right, forget that last part ;) , guess we will need the UN to step in and put its foot down regarding human rights...oops scrap that too, the USA maybe?...not likely...mmm tricky situation.
If only we didn't have religion we wouldn't have this problem  , now that would be nice.

They will do what they always do. Tell everyone that was not what they meant. What they said was misinterpreted.

aaaargghhh RAAGE!!! These fundies must be stupider than I thought if they thought that preaching anti-homosexual propoganda to a less than civilised society wouldn't result in this kind of backwards law!! They will have innocent blood on their hands, I hope they can still sleep at night!

What despicable, ugly people fundies are. I hope Ugandan funding is drastically reduced, although even thats a hard call as those in great need will suffer. The UN needs to show some spine.

As a gay man I am outraged at what is happening in Uganda. How frightening it must be for gay and lesbian folk in that country, and how impossible it will be for young people in Uganda to grow up without bigoted prejudices and thus allowing hatred and bias to move forward with each successive generation.
How distasteful is the whole idea of religious proliferation? And how deceitful are the American evangelists who deny that this despicable outcome is NOT the outcome they actually set out to achieve?
I am glad I live in Australia even though our own government has its bigoted aspects: at least it is not barbaric such as it is in Uganda.

Well folks I don't know how authentic this is but it seems indicative of the prevailing attitudes of the fundies of the west,... face palm time...

Somehow it seems the fundies of the west are nothing more then a mirror held up the the fundies of the east.

These guys along with the pope should be prosecuted under international law. Its stupid how much terror they can incite without physically lifting a finger.
War crimes maybe? For their war against reason.

And when words are not enough to express how stupid their version of reality is there is "face palm"

I didn't see or read any reference to African American's being asked what they thought, it also makes me think the the "bible belt" i also roughly largely the Confederate states with equally stick in the mud mind sets
As well they "the fundies" seem to have fairly low opinion on anyone "non white hetro American" so maybe they are a little reserved at speaking out.
