Heaven does exist after all!

You can't argue with first hand personal experience.

Several trained EMTs and DPS Officers all pronounced him dead. Along comes a qualified Combat Medic from the Viet Nam War that is instructed by our Heavenly Father to pray for this man not to suffer brain damage and to pray for his life and even though he can't find any sign of life in the crushed body he does what he is commanded to do and GLORY of GLORIES, he returned to life ninety minutes after his death! From: Xtian forum (http://www.faithforum.org/challenge/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5008) When it comes to these things there is typically severe memory loss. The left over memories are disorganized and scrambled. The person feels a sense of disassociation with the world around them. They will also try to reorganize their fragmented memories into chronological order and fill in the holes with logical assumptions. Later they can't tell what was an actual memory and what was a logical assumption. The result is the development of false memories. These experiences prove nothing, but some mild degree of brain damage. How do I know this? Because I know! :o In their disorientation, they also sometimes think their relatives are 'Angels'. (Go figure...)

This is assuming of course that he didn't embellish his heavenly experience. He is making a lot of money off of the many believers that are just 'dying' to know what Heaven will be like.
Hey! Any believers out there reading this?

Oh please, what a load of horse shyt.

You don't find it strange there was no details like all the details 18wheeler small car but not one bit of medical evidence!

Sounds like wishful thinking combined with a state of mind induced from trauma.

Besides if you actually read the bibel it says you will be resarected on the return not at your death, honestly they can't even get their own myths right.

Like I said in my earlier posts. If he actually did go somewhere he has a much better memory than I do. Even if "I" went somewhere while I was dead there's no hope if remembering it. I can't remember / have false memories of that morning let alone whilst dead. I don't even "remember" waking up in hospital. It's as atheist_angel put it a false memory. I assume I woke up in hospital becuase I'm alive.

Having had an event that "should" of led to one of these experiences I now have no sympathy or tolerance for them. I used to think they are just wishful thinking or misinterpreting things but no, they are just crazy.

gee thanks GB... :p

Imagine it like a peaceful semi euphoric sense of disoriented disassociation: Like being on drugs. More like the way we all imagined being "reborn" would feel like, but didn't. There is no heaven. Any imagining of Heaven is a lie or is a false memory of trying too hard to remember Heaven after the fact. And I agree, those that can't figure out their own minds are crazy. You would think the mild brain damage and memory loss would be a clue, but noooo... To believers, it has to be the doing of a g-d, doesn't it....

Of course, because an all-powerful god must resort to visions, granted to a small portion of individuals, during a tumultuous time in their life (or death??), to prove his existence…call me a sucker but where to I sign up!

A reasonable statement, that is it only exists in your mind, in much the same way the concept of heaven is only a fetish to beliefers ;)

Yes you can argue it because it is a lie, it is all in your imagination a scam to keep believers interested, eventually it will fail when the world believers come to their senses, that vid is no better than the scam e-mails I get wanting to transfer money to me.

@peterthames: Unfortunately I doubt they will come to their senses any time soon. Especially with people who hear voices and think it is God and people like Jesus of Siberia (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1209858/Jesus-Siberia-Ex-traffic-policeman-says-son-God-leads-thousands-followers-Russia.html) hanging around.

That still ain't proof, to me thats just some guy telling a story. I believe the human brain can whip up some crazy stuff/memories before it fails for the last time. Of course you may feel complete comfort with no pain too, your brains senses have prob detached itself from the feeling of pain from your limbs. And this guy sed he just came from a church service......so what sort of things do you think is gunna be fresh in his mind at the moment of the accident/neardeath?

I can see who could be making a good dollar now from other believers.

To be honest I preferred the original "Immoral close minded devil worshipper" thing but this is not too bad either.

Just a question... which one of you gets handcuffed?
My friend once told me "Your bed is not allowed to be comfortable, it should be a place for torture" or something along those lines, she also got mad at me for not having bed posts to tie people to...

She's telling me this whilst I am still not even legal...

Also... what about collars?

Dr Karl discusses near death experiences here http://www.abc.net.au/science/articles/2007/03/08/1866095.htm

"However, NDEs are not always related to death (despite the 'D' in NDE).
For example, the training of combat fighter pilots can involve high G forces in a centrifuge, which sends the blood away from the brain to the feet, leading to unconsciousness. The typical pathway involves a greying of the vision, followed by total blackout and vivid dreams.
Some 20 per cent of pilots who blackout in this centrifuge training report classic NDEs, with the out-of-body experience."

Goodness, who to believe? I personally know three people who've "died" and they all agree with GB and Packer. Oe noes, me so confused.

Didn't watch the clip (on my iPhone) I assume this person bought the Jeebus woo and not the Hindu woo (kinda hard to come back in that scenario... do they imagine being reincarnated as a cockroach before coming back? Something to ask about)

Heaven, a place where you can get whatever you want at the click of your fingers. I'm going to put on my critical thinking hat and come to the conclusion that this is not at all `Too Good To Be True`. And if any random church or religion offers this too me in return for hours of my time and thousands of my cash, i will take up the offer without 2nd thoughts. Because we should respect everyones world views equally right?
