Are you listening Christians?

John told seven churches to clean up their sin.
And sometimes I wonder if they listened to him.
Each one of the seven that can’t get it right;
Would lose their lampstand; go dark in g-ds sight.

But how many went dark; did they all go astray?
Did we inherit their mess… do we practice their shame?
If you enter a church that has no lampstand;
You may end up more lost than before you went in.

“Give your cash to our poor!” the Vatican calls;
While priceless art hangs from Vatican walls.
And come be reborn as a new child of grace;
To walk right into heaven without changing your ways.

These words are not Gospel; they know not what they Preach.
You must take time to Learn - before you can Teach.
So I’ll pray for the day when they’ll all understand,
It’s a change of the heart, not a stamp on the hand.

It is just a book! Even an atheist can “read” it!
…AND figure out what you “think” it means…
-a. a.

(Oh. And yes. I’m well aware that it doesn’t mean exactly that in your religion; your religion has it figured out “correctly”)
(Oh wait! I understand now! The dEvil was working through me and I didn’t even realize it… hmm, the dEvil must be as crappy a writer as I am.)

Atheists can’t possibly understand the bible… "You heard me!"
(whatever!)

Don't forget about women preachers. That is forbidden by the doG fo droW now.

And here's an assertion from a very jebusy site (http://www.biblebelievers.org.au/bb950809.htm) that is worth mentioning:Now WE know that woman is FORBIDDEN to preach, teach, or usurp authority over the man. So this is ONE woman who's NOT in the Body of Christ. She's trying to do God a service without it being His will. God doesn't have to break His Own Word to see It fulfilled. Nobody will be born-again through her ministry. For the husbandman that labors must be first partaker of the fruits. In this case, the new birth. So Kojo is being taught ERROR, and NOT the faith of God. Not HIS Spirit and HIS Life, but the ANTI-Christ spirit, and DEATH.Or as you said we silly atheists just don't understand the Bible too well.

You may like this video and it seems relevant to this topic:

Well theists, there you have it. If we silly atheists can't possibly understand the bible then how come you silly theists can understand it without reading it? :D

And once again atheist_angel that's good poetry. :)

gee, thanks guys!

@croc: That was a very interesting site you found. I was especially impressed with the earthquake monitor (http://www.biblebelievers.org.au/index2C.htm)!

@atheist_angel: No worries mate!

BTW Ironically I found that site when searching for a source on women being forbidden to teach. I was actually expecting a biblical sceptism site and came across a jebusy site instead!

Apparently "their" earthquake monitor is actually a link to a government site with earthquake statistics.
For a while I thought you were talking about the front page with the Jebus face on it.

It seems Paul was fond of discriminating women. Either that or he was actually representing God, so we've got to blame God then.

If I'm reading 1 Timothy 2:12 correctly, women are only forbidden to teach or have authority over men, so presumably they can still teach women and children.

"I am not giving permission for woman for a woman to teach or to tell a man what to do"

I think this refers to teaching in general, to any congregation, but also in addition to not being allowed to tell what a man can and cannot do...
