G'day all!
I'm a 27-year-old chick in the medical profession from Melbourne, and I'm thrilled to join the AFA community.
I've been an atheist for as long as I can remember, even before I knew such a word existed! I am extremely thankful I was brought up irreligious and able to make up my own mind about which direction to take.
I'm also a huge Dawkins fan, and greatly looking forward to the convention next year - got full weekend tickets, so I hope to see all of you there!
Duckie.

Welcome Duckie! Glad to note you are irreligious as opposed to a-religious. So much more fun! :D

Welcome Duckie - I'm also a "chick in the medical profession" (not a doctor or a nurse though - I'm a multidisciplinary transcriptionist with my own business) and am in Melbourne. Er ... but I'm not 27 any more
Look forward to seeing you around the forums and of course, at the convention in March!
Cheers.

Thanks, Ford! Yeah, I thought irreligious might be more approprate. :)

Thanks, Protium! :)
We're completely filmless now (most hospitals are), but we can still take x-rays of ourselves; we just now take them home on CD! :D

LOL :D
Perhaps there's some sort of positive correlation between radiographers and atheism? I know of at least one colleague who is ... :)

Hey, gudday :)
My father was a radiographer .. well until they decided to start using 3 word explanations for the job, and he became a medical imaging technologist ;)
hope you have fun on the forum!

Thanks, Davo! :)
I admit that three-word job descriptions tend to sound a bit more 'important' ... but when I'm feeling lazy, it's radiographer all the way! :D

Hi Duckie, and welcome to the AFA forums.
Have to say, reading thru this thread has reminded me of one of Jerry Seinfeld's jokes..
