I know you're probably fed up with this reptile racket but I think RSS and/or ATOM would make it is easier to handle notifications of new posts and threads.

I found something about RSS in the FAQ and thought somebody would have mentioned it already in the forum - but it turns out after a search that they haven't mentioned it anywhere so I thought I'd mention it as I think it would be a handy feature and much cleaner than receiving 50+ emails a day while still being able to keep up with the latest posts.

The good thing about this is I can actually treat the RSS as a separate entity to my email too.

I am wondering do you guys have this feature enabled and if so how can I access it?

@Croc: Good idea! I have a Bloglines (http://www.bloglines.com) account, and just used the little RSS icon in my nav-bar address window, to sign up for AFA updates that way.

I understand Live Bookmarks in Firefox allow for RSS updates too.

I view all new threads in RSS. Firefox has a little orange RSS feed button in the address bar or you can add http://atheistfoundation.org.au/forums/external.php?type=RSS2 to your reader

Excellent! Thanks for that! Funny I didn't see that link anywhere though. Does that cover new posts too or just new threads?

Or "new posts in this thread", if you use it while viewing a thread instead of the main forum page, it seems.
