Here's a story I read, that is very typical of Christianity that makes my blood boil.

1. Trying to convert others by any means including Lie, Awe and Scare actics.

2. Without even knowing if what they have known were not infact the result of Lie, Awe and Scare tactics in itself.

3. With a lack of research, writing a story, that only ignorant people will get fooled.

Basically, this story is about how a japanese family converted to Christianity through God's miracles.

By DOG... I feel like testing their claim on them, see if that sushi knife can avert their chest.

Is this GOD's truth? Awhole bunch of lies? How the Hell does god expect people to believe him, when he encourages his people to lie for him.:mad::mad:

People will believe what they want to believe. Just as long as they leave me alone I will be happy.
Never ceases to amaze me how stupid some people are.

That's their idea of proof! Some people will convert to any religion, when they are facing a terminal illness. The Buddhist daughters are still alive and the xtian parents are dead. What kind of proof is that? The whole thing is probably made up anyway. At least parts of it, anyhow.

Bill Senior turned to his son with a steady gaze.
"You became a Christian last night." It was clearly an accusation.
Bills insides jumped. How does he know?

Probably from his Christian flowery scent, or his righteous shouting in his sleep. "Praise Jesus!", "I love you more than my family!"

After his mother died, Bill continued to live a happy life with his new family. And he really enjoyed all the church activities. He cried real tears when he was praying, and felt real warmth, as though someone was watching over him.
But lately bill has been feeling uneasy. On the night of his father's death aniversary, he decided to return and spend the night in his parent's home. His sister who has been living there, was on a business trip, while the other had married and moved out of state.

He saw that things were mostly in the same place as they were before he moved out. And memories came rushing back, on seeing the place. He saw the Butsudan exactly where it was, and could imagine how his mom used to pray at it. As he went through the room, he was overwhelmed by sadness and sorrow, even though he was convinced in his mind that they were in a better place,he was simply depressed. Time and time again, he called out to Jesus, to make sure that they remain in heaven. "My Lord Jesus, Bless mom and dad, may they basked in your grace, in the kingdom of heaven..."

That night he went back to his old bed, and curled into a fetal position. He stared blankly at the door, longing that his parents would show up, and tuck him in, he knew it was not possible, but how much he wanted it. He then kept praying to jesus until he dozed off.

In his sleep, he had flash backs of his childhood. After that, as though he was awaken from his sleep, he suddenly focused on his parents standing infront of him, which had been calling for him.

Dad, told him that he need not fear or feel sad for him. His time was up, and he is about to be reborn. Bill junior was speechless, "...What about Jesus...?...have you forsaken him?"

Then mom replied, "Oh jesus he's with us.... no, we are not with him, HE is with us. apparently he is just like us, floating here in Limbo. Would you believe it? his previous life he was Richard Nixon."

"But mom...", bill exclaimed, "does that mean I will face the wrath of our ancestors?"
"Look son," says Dad, "you are our everything, we love you unconditionally, as long as you are happy, we are all contented. Grandma and Grandpa sent their regards too."

"Oh and don't worry about us, we are well taken care of, there is a monk here who seems to be looking after everybody. He explained everything to us. We were in fact not good Buddhist to begin with, the Buddha statue, had nothing to do with ancestor worshipping."

"I have to admit, that your mom and I, knew nothing about Buddhism, we just decided to return to our roots by being buddhist, and picked up a book on Buddhism. Unfortunately it was written by Christians"

The light behind his parents gradually became brighter and brighter, while his parents became faint, and bill found himself blinking, to the morning light.

Bill felt like a new man, after having breakfast, he went to visit the Buddha statue. He gave a gentle nod, then went home, contented.

Ah... 2 can play that game. :D

In the world of narrative, anything is possible.

Call it coincidence or call it statistical probability, I know 2 Christians who converted from their parents' religion.

And both of them were sociopaths.

Both seem to be spoilt.

Both of them, were manipulative, made friends very fast, and always initiated politics among friends, and eventually got kicked out from their respective social circles.

Let's start with the guy, and call him, fat pimple face guy.

The guy came from a broken home. His mother works out station, and comes back once a blue moon. Money was always directly transfered into his bank account and he handled everything at home. His father looked like a drug addict, and always hang around the house. But he never takes heed of him. His father has asked me for money before.

He has been jumping from 1 church to another, and he has invited me to their activities before.

He has some ill habits which I couldn't stand, which include jumping in lifts, critisizing people and laughing out loud regarding a person close-by, and behaving irresponsibly.

He has also been impatient and horned erratically at unsuspecting drivers who lawfully stops infront of him at junctions. He then laughs loudly when his traumatized victim drives on. He tries to do that when I am driving too. Sigh...

Whenever I refuse to participate in any of these, he would call me a spoil sport. Of course, I'm not easily influenced.

At the end of our friendship, I realised that he had never cherrished our friendship to begin with, just that I was conveniently there.

We have way too many of those in America. Most of them are xtians that don't attend church. The ones that do attend are dysfunctional too, but in a slightly different way.

The other lady that I knew, let's call her, drama queen.

In college, she had openly cheated in her exams, and was very disatisfied when the lecturer caught her. (She didn't even bother to hide what she was doing, she just assumed the lecturer will keep a blind eye)

Sources tell me, that she later threaten the lecturer with a knife, but later apologized. She somehow managed to pass the semester.

I pitied her at first, and offered to pair up with her on assignments, since no one else wanted to (despite the fact that previously, she had campaigned against me in class, that made our entire class isolate me. Damn, I hate being a buddhist :p).

One fine day, she called me over to her house to do our assignment. Thus I pain stakingly brought my desktop PC to her house. I had a shock, when I found that another of her assignment partner was there too (different assignment). Both of us, spent the day, working in her house, while she gazed on. Needless to say, she knew zilch about my work, and I instructed her how to present the work to the lecturer.

Through out the ordeal she has critisized me before, with selection of assignment topics when she provided zero contribution.

The following semester, a junior has asked me, to provide him with some assistance on his assignment, I had repeatedly refused him. To my horror, she surprised me by telling the guy, that 'WE' will help him.
Obvious to say, I just ignored it. Including the appointment the junior made with her. They can do it together for all I care.

Well, I had it easy. Later I heard that her ex-boyfriend was slashed with a machete in a coordinated attack by her new boyfriend. The poor guy was slashed on his arms when he tried to cover himself.

I was not at the incident, but the wounds were real.

Yeah, there seem to be a pattern here. Those lost sheep which Christianity pick up, are either those born into faith, or those who lost their way, in their own religion.

There is nothing miraculous about their conversion. If anything it is sad. It tells us, that their parents do not love them.

Inter faith conversion happens all the time. What's so special about each religion that makes them switch sides? If one is born into a religion, he tends to be indoctrine, and brainwashed with it. The fact that one can be converted can only mean 2 things.

1. That religion has showed him truth. then obviously not many will come out of faith later.

2. They were not loved by their parents, and their parents never had time to explain to them, about their own religion.

I wouldn't believe a single word they say, if they claimed to have seen or felt miracles. Their either being manipulative, or are feeling something they have never felt aka. acception from their peers, or an invisible sky daddy.

That a-whole-nother(american word, I think) level of evil. We have those too. They scare me the most. I have several in my own family. I don't talk to that side of my family, anymore.

Seriously? Do they do this too? :

It's 1 thing to be impatient, another to do it because they can.

Yeah Doer, they have no respect. I had to walk home from work after dark once and a car of boys started driving wild and shouting, shall we say 'flattering obscenities', at me and honking the horn. People here are obnoxious freaks. :o
