The Hunter / Newcastle is about to be subjected to 40 days of religious advertising courtesy of the Hunter Bible Church. From their site (http://hunterbiblechurch.org/2009/07/14/jesus-all-about-life/):

Turn on your TV this September and you’ll be sure to come across an advertisement with a difference! Coming soon to a TV and a billboard near you is the church’s biggest and sharpest media campaign since Billy Graham – ‘Jesus All About Life’ (www.jesusallaboutlife.com.au (http://www.jesusallaboutlife.com.au/)).and the AFA can't even get one bus advert, perhaps it's time we changed tactics? (yes, I understand the AFA wants to resolve the dispute with the bus company before it ventures into other advertising areas, but this upcoming campaign is totally going to overshadow anything we do)

I may have to move out of town...

perhaps we can get some help from our fellow atheists over the sea (usa) perhaps a mass purchase of their stickers or we could design our own. i already have a few on my car, but i have heaps of friends that wouldn't mind getting their hands on a few either..... just a thought,

Now there's a coincidence. Did you say their site is named almost exactly like one I know of (http://www.jesusallaboutlife.com/),
http://jesusallaboutlies.com/fixed_jeebus_logo.jpg
which is www.jesusallaboutlife.com (http://www.jesusallaboutlife.com/)?

Well, I hope people read the "dot AU" bit on the posters and billboards, or they will be finding all kinds of disturbing stuff (http://www.jesusallaboutlife.com/2009/02/26/mcjeebus-the-sappy-meal-pick-n-choose-menu/) if they just read the "dot COM" bit.

I think we reminded members that defacing private property is a crime, but let's do that again, just to be sure. The last thing anybody here wants, is for the godbotherers to make a meal of taking somebody to court for persecuting them.

I personally wonder what the legal status of posters placed illegally, like on light-poles, for example, is.
