Hi,

I'm a regular contributor to the Richard Dawkins website forums (same user name) and have just found out about this site. I'm interested in the conference that is being organised for next year in Melbourne (that's what brought me here in the first place - one of the RDF members referenced your site).

I'm a 42 y.o. Radiographer, keen tennis player, black belt in 2 types of karate and father of two - a 10y.o. boy and 7y.o. girl. Mrs Durro and I are coming up for our 20th wedding anniversary. We're both atheists and bringing up our children to question beliefs and form their own opinion on the best evidence to hand. The tooth fairy was just killed off, the Easter Bunny has been roasted and Santa is just hanging in there on life support.

We spent 5 years working in Saudi Arabia (before the children) and I'm currently writing a book about our experiences over there, hoping to get it published in the next 12 months. A few RDF members are helping me edit and improve the first draft at the moment.

Nice to meet you all and I look forward to contributing to the discussions.

Regards,

Durro

Hi !

I've taken a sickie today, as my kids' school has been closed due to Swine Flu ! Thought I'd do some exploring on the net and here I am after finding out about you guys from RDF.

Hi Durro,

My 5yo has just been kept home today (for 7 days) with 'flu-like symptoms'... There's only 4 days left in the school year up here, so he'll miss his first 'end of school' day.

Anyway, welcome from another n00b.

Eco.

Heya, welcome. I'm on the Sunshine Coast now but was in Brisbane for a few years. You should check out the Brisbane Atheists Meetup Group over at http://www.meetup.com/brisbaneatheists

Anyways hope you have a good time here.

Do we get free first editions of your book? :P

Errrrrrr...

Really ? Using another pseudonym elsewhere, like RDF ? You're not Mistress Tatiana from the Bondage and Domination Forum are you ?

I am from Melbourne originally... [scratches head]

Belated welcome, Durro.

Seems everything electronic I touch lately malfunctions.

But I swear it wasn't me that broke RDF.
