As day breaks, Tombbone is once more filled with the stench of death. The townsfolk gather in a huddle of sadness and fear around the inelegantly sprawled body of their beloved Saloon manager, Frieda Frangipani. A shotgun blast to her magnificent bosom shows that this was the work of the same villain/s who did away with the Sheriff and the Chief.

Protium was Frieda Frangipani, Saloon Manager, and was vanilla town.

But it's not all bad news for Tombbone. Down the alley next to the Saloon, there is a crumpled figure. Looks like a cowgirl came out here to take a pee last night, and would up with a six-shooter bullet in her temple. But there's no-one mourning for this little cattle rustler.(...or is there?)

Loki was Lily Languor, and despite her wholesome cowgirl exterior, was vanilla scum.

The seer should think about outing. In all likelihood there is only the don left. All seer views will be town or indy (if there is an sk). The seer can provide a certain town player and one which all other town can trust. No other special should out their role.

The idea of the seer outing themselves is good, unless the scum announces themselves as the seer, and the real seer speaks up.

Who do you trust?

If there's only one scum left, then, thanks to davo's fine work, it looks like being an easy victory for town. Unless there is still an SK on the loose. Only one person in game knows if it's a vigilante or an SK, but with the scum out of the way, it might be easier for the SK to get the win.

About the only person who I'm wiling to trust so far is davo, he's been on the money so far for the scum calls.

I think I've got some reading ahead of me trying to work out the last scum.

I'm going to retract my comment about the seer. I think that they should stay hidden.

My reasoning is that they are still a threat to a possible SK, the doctor is still out there, but if a seer reveals themselves, then there are a higher number of targets tonight. Davo's right, he's probably a target for tonight, so if a seer "outs" themselves, then the doctor has more people try and cover. They might get the same one as the SK/scum target, but maybe not.

Further, what if the remaining scum state that they are the seer, even if the real seer steps forward, how do you know which one to trust? The real seer may or may not know who the remaining scum are, so even if the scum comes forward, claiming to be seer, and states that they don't know who the remaining scum is (which is highly likely considering it's only the don remaining).

OK, so there's 10 players left, with up to three deaths each night. Because so many scum have been taken out, there has to be two players left for them to win, which means 3 more nights, assuming a full body count each night. I don't think that the scum can win, but a SK might. Suppose we get the last scum tonight, how do you work out who the SK is?

If I was scum, I'd stay pretty low today, so I'd be looking closely at the people who don't post much, but then again, the scum may be wanting to be bold and pretend that they are town and posting a lot.

Damn, this is so much harder when you're actually playing.

Hmmmm Much to dwell on. I think the detective should come forward now also, it's a risky move and I never would have thought i'd agree, but we are in a good position now. As MZ says, even if we have two people claiming it, we know one of them must be scum. We can make sacrifices here, as long as town win, the whole team wins dead or alive. The only potential danger could be if scum false claim the detective role and then the real detective doesn't counter it....

I don't think there is an SK, but if there is I know who it is.

There may be more than one scum left, I think the detective should step forward. At this point it can only help our cause, if they are useless then they may at least draw out the mafia. If they die it may be a necessary sacrifice for our victory.

There are only 3 people i'm sure of, myself, davo and LP due to the voting for Gruber on day one. LP is being quiet, so I really have only davo I trust fully. I think that if the detective declares their role now, we will have another confirmed townie. If the scum false claim it and the real detective doesn't contradict them, we're fucked. If they both claim it, we will have narrowed down our potential scum to two people (or three if there are more than 1 scum left).
That's where i'm at on it.

Why am I against it? because I see no benefit for it. The don hasn't bit the bullet yet, so the detective is a useless role now, except for possibly fingering a SK, maybe that's why you want the detective to out themselves.

It's up to the detective whether they reveal or not. I'm simply stating how I think it could help the town cause. The fact that it is fairly obvious i'm not scum and you still want to vote for me (same as praxis went for davo) cements my suspicions of you.
The doctor can not protect the same person for consecutive nights, and if you say it's a useless role now, why would the doctor bother protecting the detective anyway? I think your responses to the conversation have told me more than the detective claiming anyway. I'm becoming more and more certain of your guilt.
I accept I can't be certain that there is no SK, but at the moment all the evidence suggests against it, so I'm going with that. I'd say if we get the last scum and the game doesn't end, we will still have a large number of townies at it would be pretty obvious who the SK would have to be at that point anyway.

I agree with you there LP, I think that there is a SK on the loose. dilbadoon also seems keen on the idea that there isn't one around, and that it's a vigilante.

I can see a very good reason for a SK to get rid of scum, from their point of view, they are random hits, and they may get taken out, they can potentially avoid lynching by constantly diverting attention. The only person who can ID an SK is a detective.

As far as protecting the same person two times in a row, that was something which Bolero stated was a "sometimes rule" and not always played, plus, which night did they first protect davo? is he unprotected tonight? or will he be protected? But if a detective suddenly reveals themselves, then there is a better chance that a successful hit would go down from a SK.

I don't know who the remaining scum is/are, but a SK with no scum to be targeted would be pretty dangerous. If we get the last scum tonight in the lynching then I don't think that it's going to be game over.

I don't like MZ for this, just because he seems to be genuinely trying to weed out the scum. Could just be very good cover, but also may seem more suspicious since so many are being quiet...

I'm now uncertain on an SK, if there is one, he's done a bloody good job on me, but I think it's fairly obvious who he could be, and if there is a detective I hope that they may shed some light on that sooner rather than later.

Now that I have a bit of time to think about all this, we seem to have two people arguing about if the Detective or whatever should out themselves. one could be scum, or both or even none.

Then we have Davo who everyone seems to think is above reproach, perfect scum cover, almost. He could have put himself in a posistion of trust by lynching fellow scum and then take over the town.

Then we have a few silent people. mainly LBA...

thats all I got for now, and we still don't know how many scum are left, it could be one, two, three or maybe 4. I think 4 would be pushing it.
And we don't know if we have a s/k or a vigilante.......

all I bloody know is that I'd backed a wrong horse in praxis, but had trust in protes and she's (game wise) is gone.

also, I've had several P.M's with other people, some not wanting to even acknowledge the p.m. I sent and others just brushing it off.

Take 2, i'm almost certain that there is no SK. With only 2 deaths each night, and 1 scum taken down each night, i'm sure its a vigi. Obviously the town deaths were down to the scum, and it would not make sense for an SK to target the scum so boldly, thereby drawing major attention to himself. He would gain more by just randomly killing townies, which would leave suspicion on scum.
I can see my posts on the detective may have looked suss, but I gave my reasons, and it's entirely up to the detective.

There is a possibility that the last scum may be lynched, the vigilante/SK may be lynched, or the vigilante/SK may target the scum or visa versa and their hit may take place before the others. Or the doctor may protect one of the two possible targets (does the doctor protect against any hit? or just a scum hit?)

Worst case is that 3 are killed tonight, best case is 2.

If you take the best case, then there are 8 players left standing at sun up tomorrow. If the scum doesn't get taken out tonight, then it's 7 to 1. Still a long way short of a victory condition.

Sorry Davo, it's not certain that loubert is going down. I'm not shifting my vote, and loubert is only in the lead by 2.

Last check, there are still 3 outstanding votes, that could elevate a current unvoted player to a tied lynch with loubert, or an existing candidate to 4 votes. Plus votes change, we're just over an hour from sundown. loubert is talking crap trying to shift the blame to you.

If enough shit sticks though, and you attract 1 more vote, it may tempt a late change from a possible scum to try and get you lynched.

Everyone seems to be suspicious of at least one person. It doesn't add up you being scum, but I haven't ruled you out being a SK either.

What's going to happen tonight is I am going to be taken out by the scum, not in the lynch, but during the night. Watch and see. I have tried my best to contact townies and only one or two have taken it on board and can see what is happening.

Sorry loubert. :( I was worried this might happen, but unfortunately I think Praxis did too good a number on you. Hopefully this can bring the town into more focus and we can get the job done. Don't know what the night will bring, but for me Cyclist is back to looking dangerous.

I think that davo's right that he'll be the target of the scum, and if it's a vigilante out there, I think that I'm likely to be the target. I haven't managed to shift the stigma I attracted early and haven't been able to shift. Considering that loubert turned out to be town, maybe there's only one scum left.
