Australian born, US-based Jim Jefferies is a world-class headliner who doesn’t pull any punches, making audiences roar with laughter at the kind of material many comedians would never pull off. Jim’s got the goods that enable him to charm and challenge a crowd in equal measures.
Jim’s breakthrough was in 2005 at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, when his storming performance in The Nasty Show made audiences, critics and fellow comics take note: it was followed by rave reviews and the need to put Jim further up the bill – more established comics were having trouble following him! Of course Jim’s return to that festival – a week-long run in 2007 – was completely sold out. By the time Jim made his Melbourne International Comedy Festival debut in 2009 with Hellbound, he had the HBO special I Swear To God under his belt. He has since followed that up with Alcoholocaust.
Able to deliver ‘family friendly’ material when required, Jim is as hilarious on television as he is on stage. His credits including appearances on Comedy Cuts, If.ComEddies (ITV), Heaven and Earth, Never Mind theBuzzcocks, (BBC), The History of Offensive Humour (Channel 4), Comedy Blue, The World Stands Up and Edinburgh and Beyond (Paramount Comedy Channel).
