Just joined thanks to the bribery tactics of Protium :D I'm a member of the Perth atheist group and thought I'd sign up, join in the discussion and generally cause trouble...just kidding. I've been an atheist pretty much my whole life I think, I never really bought the whole religion thing, up until recent years I never cared for it either way but it's definitly caught my interest now though. I'm a huge fan of George Carlin, Christopher Hitchens and Penn & Teller (hopefully some of you know who these people are, if not, you should be ashamed of yourself :p ) and those guys along with a few others are a big inspiration for getting interested in religion and the disbelief of any supernatural dictator. As I said above, I am a member of the Perth atheist group, been to a few meetings and other events but now find myself slightly distancing myself away from any political or academic side of things, I'm just happy to discuss the subject at hand as well as anything else that comes up. Hope to stick around a bit.

YAY SchizoDeluxe is here!!!! WOOOHOOO!!!!!! Nice work Protium, talking him into showing up. I remember you, Schizo, from the June Perth meetup. It's awesome that you decided to join.

As you can tell already, we're a really straight-laced bunch here, serious, dull, boring....NOT!!!!!! *snerk*

Geez, I'm giddy with delight.

What's your favorite Carlan quote that made you laugh the hardest and your favorite anti-religion quote of his? :D

My favorite Penn & Teller moment was when Teller signed an autograph saying (roughly) "There is no God" and Penn said "He's right". *giggles*

hey there! so this is where you been hiding! my favorite carlin quote? Well the one in my signature is a goody but I think my favorite one is his 10 commandments rant and how he compiled it down to 2, 1 if you take out murder lol that's a bit long to put in my signature though so I ran with the church and state one. But there is so many and they all make me laugh, oh the abortion one is killer, not sure if I can say it here lol
As Penn would say "holy jumping fucking jesus!"
