At conferences speakers will often put posters in the foyers to the various conference rooms, giving an outline of their talk. This practice gives the attendee some idea of what the talk is about in advance.
It is especially important in conferences that run parallel sessions on different topics, so the attendee can priorities what talks they want to attend, based on their interest and expertise.
As I understand it, there will not be simultaneous presentations at GAC 2012, but having a taste-test of the talks might still be a worthwhile idea.
I remember being a little frustrated at the 2009 Evolution Conference because there were often lectures on different subject scheduled at the same or over-lapping times, but the Speaker's Posters helped me to decide which ones to attend.
