Please join Richard Saunders, Dr Rachael Dunlop, Kylie Sturgess and Dave the Happy Singer from the Skeptic Zone [Sydney], for an evening of skepticism and music hosted by the Young Australian Skeptics [Melbourne]!
Richard Saunders is a magician, author, origami-master, skeptical-judge on Australian TV show “The One”, Vice-President of the Australian Skeptics and co-host of the Skeptic Zone podcast and will be presenting his fascinating talk “Skepticism 101”. With decades of paranormal and pseudoscientific investigation experience, he breaks down the methodology and rationalisations behind “why we think weird things”.
Dr Rachael Dunlop has a PhD from Sydney University Medical School and works full time in heart disease research and is a member of the New South Wales committee of Australian Skeptics. She will be presenting her talk “Dr Rachie Reports: adventures of a scientist in an alternative medicine world”. Rachael has a passion for combining her knowledge of art and science through scientific communication.
Joined by fellow Skeptic Zone reporter Kylie Sturgess, author of the hugely popular blog “PodBlack Cat”, and Dave the Happy Singer who will be treating us to his brand of musical comedy with a skeptical bent, the night promises to be intellectually stimulating and a whole load of fun.
