I was having a discussion with an uncle on the weekend regarding god, religion, etc
He told me a funny story how one day he was working on a construction site (a church). He happened to ask the priest whether he believed in god. The priest responded, "Look, I have never seen him but I know for sure that a devil exists".
It got me thinking why he would say this?
Later on in the discussion the priest requested if my uncle would work on the site for free. My uncle refused. Later that morning when the workers were having a break the priest offered them all a cup of coffee, except my uncle.
Can you believe the mongrel!?!?!?
Maybe the others had agreed to work for nothing :)
It then occurred to me why the priest made that comment about there being a devil. Maybe he was trying to soften my uncle up. ie If you don't work for nothing the devil will come and get you!
